Mary Lou (Reser) Shults was a loving mother, loyal and caring wife and a strong Christian woman. She had a strong impact on everyone she met. Her church and her faith helped her overcome difficulties in her life while remaining true to her traditional values. God truly blessed her and she now is with him in heaven.

She was born on November 8, 1924 to Jesse Browder and Inez (Broiles) Reser in Granite, OK.

Troy and Mary Lou were married for 65 years. After Troy's death in 2014, she longed to be reunited with him in heaven, so on August 8, 2017 she joined her husband in heaven along with her parents, and brother, Dale Reser.

Mary was a woman with a big heart. She displayed great loyalty and was a natural giver & nurturer. She always had time for others and took pride in taking care of her family. One of Mary's many passions was cooking. You could always count on finding her in the kitchen where she cooked from the heart. She enjoyed hosting for her family especially during the holidays. She always seemed to have your favorites food whipped up when you were over for a visit. Not only was Mary an excellent cook but she was also a gifted seamstress. Crocheting was her expertise. She hand crafted many afghans over time and every one contained a piece of her heart & soul. She had an eye when it came to picking out the colors & patterns in the yarns. Each one was uniquely beautiful. It was an honor to receive an afghan of Mary's.

Mary doted on her two sons, Bruce and Darrell. Her home was always open to children in the neighborhood. She enjoyed studying the bible, and solving Seek-n- Find puzzles. She also loved watching the Wheel of Fortune, Darrell said, you could set the atomic clock around the show. A longtime member of Del City Church of Christ in Del City, OK, Mary supported many of the church's community services outreach programs such as Oklahoma Christian College, Meals on Wheels, and organizing Baby and Wedding showers.

Mary is survived by two sons, Bruce Shults and wife, Betty, Darrell Shults and wife, Lois; brother, J.B. Reser; grandchildren, Dasha Joseph and husband, Harvey, Rebekah Gossett and husband, Marty, Brian Shults, Matthew Shults, Britteny Shults; great grandchildren, Miranda Salem, Sabiyah Salem, John Mark Gossett, Benjamin Gossett, Caleb Gossett, and a host of relatives and friends.

Mom was a woman of strong faith that will be missed by everyone. But we all know she is in a better place with Jesus and Troy in heaven.
